AFL Round 13 Predictions for the Fun of It

We only picked two games correctly from Round 12 of the Toyota 2019 AFL Premiership competition; so hopefully, it will be with a more sober approach that we try for the six games of Round 13.

Somber might be the better choice of words and were we real punters, this would be an excellent time for a break and a refresh, but since we are playing for fun only, here are our tips for AFL Round 13.

We thank Ladbrokes for the figures.

Opening the abbreviated round are the Adelaide Crows hosting the Richmond Tigers. The Crows hurt us last week by beating GWS. The Tigers are toothless this season and the game is in Adelaide, so this time, we will select the Crows and the 1.5-point favourtism and accept the potential $135.

Essendon are favoured by 4.5 over the Hawthorn Hawks at Marvel Stadium. Both clubs should be fresh, coming off their bye weeks. Hawthorn beat GWS by 33 points in Round 8, while GWS beat Essendon by 72 in Round 1. Based on that and a couple of rubs of our lucky rabbit’s foot, we will pick the Bombers to win. If you fail to understand our logic, you would not be the first. Our potential return is $175.

The Gold Coast Suns burned us last week. This week, we have our SPF 500 sunscreen slathered all over us and will take the St. Kilda Saints to win and deliver us $165.

Fremantle Dockers are hosting Port Adelaide Power. We will pick the Dockers for a possible $170, mainly out of stubbornness.

Carlton are playing Western Bulldogs at Comic Book Stadium and even though the Blues cost us by beating Brisbane last round, we cannot back them, so to the Dogs we go for $155.

No one has home ground for the final game of the round, North Melbourne Kangaroos versus the GWS Giants. The game is in Taz. We will take the Giants for a possible $152 dividend.

Remember, we use a hypothetical stake of $100 of play money for out bets, so do not follow us with any real money.
